Chatuchak Green Vintage Market, commonly known as JJ Green Market, is a night market in Bangkok, located next to the famous Chatuchak Weekend Market.
JJ Green Market is the place where younger locals from all over Bangkok like to go on weekends. During our visit, tourists were seriously missing out this place, so if you want to feel local culture on shopping and hang out style, visiting JJ Green Market is really worth it.
Chatuchak Green or JJ Green Market is located on Kamphaeng Phet 2 Road only 100 meters from Chatuchak Weekend Market, and is easily accessible as the market only about 200 meters from BTS Sky train and MRT Subway stations.
JJ Green Market has a total area of 21 rai, divided into 3 zones - Shop in the park, Green Food Park and Restaurant in the park.
Things to Buy
The items sold at the market are a good mix of new and used. There is a big area for selling old vintage style goods and second-hand stuff.
At JJ Green Market you can find antique cameras..
..Second-hand shoes..
..Retro Posters...
However, you will find hundreds of stands selling various trendy goods such as phone cases, clothing, handbags, home decorations, accessories, and sunglasses at JJ Green Market as well.
The prices at JJ Green Market are normally lower than in other Bangkok markets so there’s no need to bargain a lot.
Food
There are many stalls selling various Thai food dishes and Thai snacks around the market.
In the middle of JJ Green Market, there is a Food Court where you will find a lot of food options from Som Tam, Noodle Soups, Hamburgers, Ice Cream to Japanese Takoyaki balls. The food is reasonably priced and delicious.
Some food stalls at JJ Green Market are really good to try although not many of them have English menus.
There are plenty of drink and ice cream shops at the market as well.
We ate Spicy Grilled Pork Neck with rice and Tom Yum Noodle Soup that cost us only 50 baht for each dish and they were really delicious.
