If you're looking for an ideal location of accommodation in Chiang Mai, staying in the Old City or nearby the historic center is your best bet. During our last visit in Chiang Mai we decided to stay in a calm corner just outside the Old City, at Si Phum Heritage Boutique Bed & Breakfast. Check for our review of the hotel.
There is no doubt that for tourists the best area to stay in Hanoi is the Old Quarter as from there it’s easy to walk around the center of the city and all most popular attractions are within a walking distance. We had 2 more nights in Hanoi between the trips to other cities in Vietnam and decided to stay at Hanoi Luxury Hotel. Check for our review of the hotel.
We were looking for a hotel in the Old Quarter which is the most popular neighborhood to stay in Hanoi for tourists as it is very convenient for exploring the capital of Vietnam. That’s why we have chosen Golden Moon Suite Hotel for our 1 night stay in Hanoi. Check for our review of the hotel.
Cat Ba Island is one of the most popular destinations in northern Vietnam. The island is often used as a gateway for a visit to Ha Long Bay. As the hotels that are located in or around Cat Ba Town are the most convenient, we have chosen to stay at Catba Dream Hotel. Check our review of the hotel.
Our Vietnam trip started in Haiphong before heading to Cat Ba the following day so we found a hotel there to rest for one night. It looks like there are many hotels in Haiphong but most of them are expensive in Vietnamese standard and their reviews are quite bad. After doing a little research, we have chosen to stay at Hoang Hai Hotel. Our review of the hotel can be found below.
Recently we've visited Nasa Vegas Hotel in Bangkok. We entered Nasa Vegas Hotel with a good impression as the hotel exterior and reception looked good but the staff at the reception was quite unprofessional and even rude. We also had to pay a deposit of 1000 Baht which wasn't mentioned when booking this hotel online.
Blue Lagoon Guest House and Bar is a nice and friendly guesthouse in Cha-am. The guesthouse also has its own bar and restaurant. The staffs at Blue Lagoon are friendly and helpful. They could also speak and understand English quite well making the stay here really smooth.
We have been staying at this hotel in Bangkok for many years and nothing has been changed here, it just got older old. The only positive thing about this hotel is its location. Asia Hotel is located in the center of the city and it’s easy to go everywhere because the hotel is connected with BTS SkyTrain. Paragon and Siam malls are just 1 stop away. MBK shopping mall is in a walking distance.
