We have been staying at this hotel in Bangkok for many years and nothing has been changed here, it just got older old. The only positive thing about this hotel is its location. Asia Hotel is located in the center of the city and it’s easy to go everywhere because the hotel is connected with BTS SkyTrain. Paragon and Siam malls are just 1 stop away. MBK shopping mall is in a walking distance.
The hotel itself is way too old, including the room.
Check in and check out process took a lot, really a lot of time. After being checked in, we still had to wait for more than 30 minutes. Reception was unfriendly and not helpful. They don't really get the meaning of customer service.
The room was large and clean, beds - comfortable.
Mini bar was well stocked and prices were crazy high, but there are several 7/11 shops open 24 hours nearby.
This is the breakfast room - the food variety of the buffet breakfast was fine.
There are plenty of shops and restaurants inside and even more around this hotel.
Overall, it was a little overpriced for more than 1,800 Baht (~60 €) per night. The location next to Ratchathewi BTS SkyTrain station is the biggest plus but taking into consideration the other things, we wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
