Traveling from Don Mueang Airport to Bangkok City by bus is a good choice because it is very convenient and not expensive. All Don Mueang Airport shuttle buses are air-conditioned. Old buses were orange, but now the new blue buses are used on all Don Mueang Airport bus routes. Airport bus routes are direct and use expressways, so the bus just stops at a few bus stops only before reaching the final destination.

The ticket can be bought on board. Normally, the bus fare needs to be paid by cash only, but lately they started accepting card payments too.

Pick-up Point: At Don Mueang Airport, buses park at the Arrival Hall on the first floor of Terminal 1 (Gate 6). There is no longer a bus stop at Terminal 2 (Gate 12).

Route: Don Mueang Airport to BTS Mo Chit station

Main bus stops: Central Lad Phrao Mall, BTS SkyTrain Mo Chit (MRT Metro Chatuchak Park), and Mo Chit Northern Bus Terminal (also known as Chatuchak Bus Station)

Bus fare: 30 baht per person

Service Timetable: 05:45-24:00, every 15-20 minutes

Tips on taking Bus A1

Bus A1 passes the BTS Skytrain station, called Mo Chit station, and the MRT Chatuchak Park Station. This place is roughly midway between Don Mueang Airport and the Bangkok city center. Stopping here and changing to the BTS or MRT is a good way to avoid the horrendous traffic of Thai capital.

Boarding the bus A1 at DMK Airport might not be convenient for passengers with children and big luggage, as it can get very crowded during rush hour, so you might need to stand all the way to your destination. The journey can take much more than 30 minutes, as the length of it depends on the time of the day and traffic conditions.

Don Mueang Airport Bus A2

Route: Don Mueang Airport to Victory Monument

Main bus stops: Din Daeng, Santiphap Park, and BTS SkyTrain Victory Monument

Bus A2 no longer passes the BTS Mo Chit Station and MRT Metro Chatuchak Park Station, but it goes directly to BTS Victory Monument Station, which is closer to the city center than Mo Chit.

Route: Don Mueang Airport to Lumphini Park

Main bus stops: Din Daeng, Pratunam, Ratchaprasong, Ratchadamri, and Lumphini Park

Bus fare: 50 Baht per person

Service Timetable: 06:20-23:00, every 20-30 minutes
