Palladium Night Market is a small night market in Bangkok’s Pratunam district. Every night the night market takes place in front of The Palladium Shopping Mall which is located just across the street from Pratunam Market.
The Palladium or The Palladium World Shopping (as they call themselves) is a big shopping mall located on the corner of a busy Ratchaprarop Road and Phetchaburi Road intersection in Pratunam district. The mall can be easily reached from the famous Pratunam Market as you just need to cross Ratchaprarop Road by overpass.
The Palladium shopping mall itself is not as upscale as the shopping malls in Siam Shopping District and some pretty decent deals can be found inside of it. However, it’s definitely not the top choice in the area as Pratunam Market and Platinum Fashion Mall seems to be much more popular between the visitors of Pratunam.
When only the sun goes down, the area in front of The Palladium shopping mall transforms into Palladium Night Market as the vendors sell up their stalls for late night shopping.
The proximity to Pratunam Market helps to keep prices at Palladium Night Market low so it’s really worth to look around here. The biggest advantage of this Bangkok's night market is its compactness. If you’re not willing to spend few hours strolling in the labyrinth of Pratunam Market, pretty much the same deals can be found at Palladium Night Market. Of course, the variety of goods being sold here is not that wide. However, if you’re just looking for a t-shirt, souvenir or electronics for a reasonable price, Palladium Night Market is the place to go in Pratunam area.
Things to Buy
The thing that first comes to mind when thinking about shopping in Pratunam is definitely clothes. Palladium Night Market is not an exception as the vendors selling various clothes occupy the biggest part of the night market.
At Palladium Night Market you will find plenty of t-shirts for expressing your love to Bangkok and Thailand or just bringing back home as a gift for your friends and family.
Thai style shirts will look good on any gentleman.
Ladies will find something for themselves as well coz they definitely come first here. Plenty of pants, shirts, dresses, skirts and blouses can be found being sold at Palladium Night Market.
Plenty of cheap underwear can be found here as well.
Normally, the more clothes you buy, the better the deal you can expect to get at the night market.
Bags and wallets of various styles and sizes are sold at Palladium Night Market.
These Thai style shopping bags are especially popular.
Earrings, bracelets, necklaces and other small jewelry can be found here for as little as 20 baht.
New watch will cost you only 100 baht. Of course, “Made in Thailand” doesn’t sound like “Made in Switzerland” but for the price they are really ok.
Some of the sellers at Palladium Night Market offer more creative souvenirs that might catch your eye.
Like these cute bags for cosmetics, pencils, phone or anything else you might think to put inside.
Or these personally named wooden photo frames and key chains.
At Palladium Night Market you can also get your caricature drawn in few minutes.
P.S. This guy drawing caricatures was spotted migrating between Palladium Night Market and the nearby Talad Neon Night Market.
You won’t find street food stalls at Palladium Night Market but there are plenty of them on the pavement in the area around night market.
Getting a roasted coconut for 20 baht sounds like a perfect deal!
Palladium Night Market is open daily from 6 pm to midnight.
The Palladium shopping mall closes at 9 pm.
