BTS SkyTrain
BTS SkyTrain operating hours on New Year's Eve will be extended from the normal midnight closing time to 2 am on 1st of January 2019.
BTS SkyTrain is one of the most convenient ways to travel around Bangkok and it links central Bangkok with other important areas of the city. BTS SkyTrain can be very useful when traveling between TOP Places to Celebrate New Year's Eve 2019 in Bangkok.

MRT Metro
Both lines of MRT Metro - Blue Line and Purple Line on the last day of 2018 will be open from 6:00 am and will extend opening hours on New Year's Eve from the normal midnight closing time to 2 am on 1st of January 2019.
MRT Metro is one more addition to the public transport system of Bangkok and is conveniently connected with other train systems helping to escape busy traffic in Thailand’s capital. On New Year’s Eve MRT can be used together with BTS as they both extended their operating hours.

Airport Rail Link
Airport Rail Link will provide free service from noon of 31 December 2018 to noon of 1 January 2019.
Airport Rail Link operating hours on New Year’s Eve are yet to be announced. Last year Airport Rail Link extended operating hours just like other rail systems in Bangkok so it can be expected once again. We’ll update once it becomes official.
Airport Rail Link connects the main airport of the city (Suvarnabhumi Airport) with Bangkok center and is the cheapest and easiest way to get to the city center from the airport.

BKK Airport
Airports of Thailand (AOT) will provide free parking at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Zone C for more than 700 cars from 27 December 2018 to 2 January 2019 and will also provide free shuttle bus service within the Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Car Travel
The Department of Highways (DOH) announced the exemption for toll fee for commuters using 2 Motorway between 00.01 on 27 December 2018 to 24.00 on 2 January 2019:
- Motorway Route 7 (Bangkok-Chonburi)
- Motorway Route 9 (Eastern Outer Ring Road, Bang Pa-In - Bang Phli)
Expressway and Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (ETA) will also exempt expressway fee from 00.01 on 27 December 2018 until 24.00 on 2 January 2019:
- Burapha University (Bangna Expressway - Chonburi)
- Kanchanapisek Expressway (Bangplee - Suksawat)
The Highway Police Thailand will open 111 spots for free sleeping rooms nationwide to boost the campaign of "No Drunken Driving" that should help for the safety of people traveling between 27 December 2018 and 2 January 2019.
