Bangkok Bus Fare: Bangkok Public Bus Fares Up in 2019

Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) operating most of public buses in Bangkok has announced a statement of the resolution which was approved by the Central Land Transport Committee (CLTC) meeting No. 10/2561 on December 14, 2018 and confirmed a decision to increase Bangkok public bus fares in 2019.

New Bangkok public bus fares will be effective from 21 January 2019 onwards

Regular buses (Cream-red)

The cheapest regular bus fare in Bangkok will increase from 6.50 baht to 8 baht throughout the route.

** Expressway bus route fares will increase by 2 baht so the fare will be 10 baht throughout the route.

Regular buses (cream-red) 

Air-conditioned buses (Cream-blue)

The fare of this air-conditioned type Bangkok bus will increase from 10-18 baht (depending on the distance) to 12-20 baht (depending on the distance)

** Expressway bus route fares will increase by 2 baht per distance

Euro II Air-conditioned Bus (Orange) & Air-conditioned bus NGV (White)

The fare of this air-conditioned type Bangkok bus will increase from 11-23 baht (depending on the distance) to 13-25 baht (depending on the distance)

** Expressway bus route fares will increase by 2 baht per distance

Euro II Air-conditioned Bus (Orange) 

New NGV Air-conditioned Bus (Blue)

The fare of new type air-conditioned Bangkok bus will depend on the distance covered.

Distance of first 4 km, the bus fare does not exceed 15 baht.

Distance of 4-16 km, the bus fare does not exceed 20 baht.

Distance of 16 km or more, the bus fare does not exceed 25 baht.

** Expressway bus route fares will increase by 2 baht per distance

New NGV Air-conditioned Bus (Blue) 

Airport bus routes

Bangkok airport bus fares remain the same. No increasing.

Night Bus

The fare of Bangkok night bus will increase from 8 baht to 9.50 baht throughout the route.

** The fare of Night Bus No. 76 will be 13-25 baht, depending on the distance**

Effective Date

New Bangkok bus fares will be effective since January 21, 2019.
